In this episode we have a conversation about searching ExpressionEngine content. We cover the default EE simple search, advanced search as well as some power tools that allow you to smartly and easily search your EE content.
- "EE Simple Search":http://expressionengine.com/docs/modules/search/index.html#simple
- You need to make sure you explicitly tell EE where to search in Simple Search. If you don't set the "@search_in@ parameter":http://expressionengine.com/docs/modules/search/simple.html#par_search_in, it will default to searching only the titles--no matter which custom fields you mark as searchable.
- The "@where@ parameter":http://expressionengine.com/docs/modules/search/simple.html#par_where is useful for telling EE how accurate the search needs to be.
